MANILA – Nazareth School-National University clinched the girls and boys championships of the UAAP Season 82 juniors volleyball tournament at the San Juan Arena.

The Lady Bullpups completed its season sweep with a masterful 25-10, 25-17, 25-15 straight-set victory over the Adamson University Lady Falcons in Game 2 of the best-of-three finals series.

“The girls did well, ginusto nila ito. This championship is all them. They played with energy, passion and everything they’ve got,” said Lady Bulldogs head coach Regine Diego.

The Lady Bullpups closed the first frame on a 13-2 blast, highlighted by five service aces from Best Setter Camilla Lamina of Guimaras to take the upper hand before walloping the Baby Falcons in the second set.

Holding to a single point lead in the third set at 9-8, the Lady Bulldogs unleashed a 16-7 finishing kick, capped by Alinsug’s off-the-block kill for the school’s fifth championship in the last six years.

Meanwhile, the Bullpups completed its quest for back-to-back championships in boys division after taming top seed Far Eastern University-Diliman Baby Tamaraws, 25-20, 25-20, 25-23.
