BACOLOD City – Old grudge was seen as the motive in the killing of a 37-year-old laborer in Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Resident Jorge Alfonso died of multiple stab wounds, police said.
Tagged suspect was 30-year-old Edgar Jalapa.
According to the police, Alfonso and Jalapa had an argument while having a drinking spree around 10:30 p.m. on March 6.
The victim was rushed to the Kabankalan City Hospital but the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Police launched a hot pursuit operation against Jalapa who fled after the incident./PN
