BACOLOD City – After going missing for three days, an 87-year-old resident of Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental was found dead off a cliff in Sitio Gayas the village.
Senior Inspector Ryan Santillan, Murcia police chief, said they learned about the death of Luis Evangelio from the latter’s grandson.
Evangelio’s body was already decomposing when discovered at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.
The grandson Errol, 24, told the police his grandfather left his house at around 4 p.m. on Oct. 14 and has not returned since.
Evangelio may have forgotten the way back home and fell off the 150-meter high cliff, said the police. His body was taken to a local mortuary for an autopsy./PN
