ILOILO – A suspected drug pusher was apprehended in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Botong, Oton town.
Police identified the suspect as Rolly Joy Baylon, 47, and a resident of the said barangay.
Baylon was caught after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P1,200 around 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, police said.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Abner Jordan, chief of the Oton Municipal Police Station (MPS), said they confiscated from the suspect a total of five grams of suspected shabu valued at around P34,000.
The suspect, Jordan said, was not in the Barangay Drug Abuse Council’s (BADAC) list of drug personalities but he had been under surveillance for nearly two months before his arrest.
Baylon was detained at the custodial facility of the Oton MPS.
He is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
