ILOILO City – An estimated P50,000 in cash was carted away from a drug store owned by the Jaro Archdiocesan Social Action Center in Barangay Sta. Filomena, Arevalo district.
The theft was discovered around 7 a.m. yesterday by pharmacist Fil-am Panique.
Arevalo police said closed circuit television (CCTV) camera captured the unidentified burglar breaking into the drug store.
Based on the CCTV footage, after failing to open the roll-up door, the robber destroyed the grills and broke the glass window.
Once inside the drug store, the robber took away the money from the cash box.
As of this writing, the Arevalo Police Station was still investigating the incident.
Police also urged witnesses to come forward to assist in identifying the suspect./PN
