ROXAS City – More than 250 individuals were arrested for violating the Smoke-free and Vape-free Ordinance of this city since its implementation in July until Dec. 21, 2023.
Ronald Amigo, head of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), said the apprehensions were carried out by the personnel of the City Ordinance and Regulations Enforcement (CORE) Unit.
Data from CORE Unit showed that a number of apprehensions were made inside several establishments, particularly at the Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center (TATC).
Amigo said, together with the CORE Unit, they are set to hold discussions with the TATC administration to address the issue.
The Smoke-free and Vape-free Ordinance reflects the city’s commitment in promoting a healthier and cleaner environment for its residents, Amigo added./PN
