ILOILO City – Provincial and city police directors who already exceeded their two-year tour of duty would be given new assignments.
“We have to change them despite having excellent performance,” said Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, regional police director.
Two directors he named were Senior Superintendent Samuel Nacion of the Capiz Police Provincial Office and Senior Superintendent Leo Agpangan of the Antique Police Provincial Office.
According to Bulalacao, Agpangan and Nacion did well in the campaign against illegal drugs, fugitives and insurgency.
He previously hinted the possible relief of Senior Superintendent Julio Gustilo, police director of Guimaras, for having no anti-illegal drug operations for two months.
In July, Bulalacao sacked 23 police chiefs across Region 6 for zero accomplishments in the campaign against illegal drugs since June 1.
Another set would be axed before August ends, he said.
But the relief order of three police chiefs in Iloilo province were recalled; their areas have been declared cleared of drugs, explained the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).
They were municipality of Mina’s Senior Inspector Ma. Theresa Lero, Binagawan’s Chief Inspector Ramil Jacaba and San Rafael’s Senior Inspector Kenn Albert Lepsia.
The Regional Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board of the PRO-6 reviewed the police chiefs’ performance not only in the drive against illegal drugs and fugitives but also against crime, illegal gambling and loose firearms./PN
