ROXAS City – Three persons, including a minor, were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Sitio Ilaya, Barangay Sibaguan, a police report showed.
A total of 150 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, were recovered from Barangay Tiza residents Florencio Abalayan Jr., 37, and Cherry Jardeleza, 34, and a 17-year-old minor, the report further stated.
The confiscated shabu was valued at an estimated P1.5 million, police said.
Elements of the Capiz Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit arrested the suspects around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Also recovered from the suspects were the P1,000 marked money, a cellular phone, cash, and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Abalayan and Jardeleza were detained at the Roxas City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The minor, on the other hand, was referred to the police station’s Women and Children Protection Desk and was later turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development. (With Glenn Beup/PN)
