BACOLOD City – An estimated P1,870,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated from two suspects during a buy-bust operation in Purok Crossing 8, Old Runway, Barangay Tangub here over the weekend.
Operatives of the Bacolod City Police Station 8’s Drug Enforcement Team identified the suspects as aliases “Jeffrey,” 38, and “Fernando,” 39, both residents of the village.
Led by Police Station 8 officer-in-charge Captain Sherwin H. Galufar, the operation carried out at around 8:27 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, yielded a total of 275 grams of the said illegal substance.
Both suspects were detained at Police Station 8, facing charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
