P1 million worth of shabu seized in Ajuy

ILOILO – Over P1 million worth of suspected shabu was seized from a newly identified high-value target in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tipacla, Ajuy town.

Police identified the suspect as alias “Bagtik,” 42, a habal-habal driver who had been under close surveillance for two months by the Ajuy Municipal Police Station (MPS). He was apprehended at around 8:10 p.m. on June 21 after allegedly transacting with an undercover operative.

The operation, led by Captain John Michael Dalipe, officer-in-charge of Ajuy MPS, yielded approximately 150 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P1,020,000.

Police said the suspect reportedly sourced his illegal drug supply from a neighboring municipality and distributed it throughout Ajuy.
