BACOLOD City – Five drug suspects were caught in an entrapment operation at Phase 4, Gregoria Village in Barangay 3, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Suspected shabu worth some P15,000 was recovered from the suspects, police said.
The 28-year-old Anthony Andas of Barangay 2, Kabankalan City, 52-year-old retired Army Joerey Vidal of Barangay Camugao, Kabankalan City, 30-year-old Windarly Salim of Barangay 5, Kabankalan City, and Barangay 3 residents Joan Utanez, 33, and Reagan Sotelo, 37, were now detained at the Kabankalan City police station lockup facility.
They were arrested around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at Utanez’s house after Andas and Vidal sold shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 , the report stated.
Police also recovered from the suspects cash amounting to P10,527, a cellphone, drug paraphernalia, and a leather belt with a buckle knife.
The suspects were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
