ROXAS City – When completed, the proposed P16.8-million promenade along the Panay River here is expected to become a top spot for rest and recreation.
“May pulongkuan man kag mga poste sang suga nga makaganyat sa mga tawo magpamasyar upod ang pamilya kag mga abyan,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
The promenade will start from the San Roque Bridge (TATC) extending to Altavas Street, a portion of Washington Street until Juliano Alba Bridge (Jumbo) and end on Premier de Mayo Street.
Its width spans a half-meter wide bikeway, a 1.8-meter walkway and a 1.2-meter area for plants.
The city government is beautifying the Panay River, said Dadivas.
Stretching some 711.2 meters, the project will source its funding from the Local Government Support Fund.
