BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a high-value suspect in a drug buy-bust operation in Purok Nami-Nami, Barangay Sum-ag here.
The 24-year-old alias “Sal”, a resident of Barangay 31, was caught with approximately 675 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P4,590,000 at 5:41 a.m. yesterday, December 12.
The successful operation was in cooperation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6.
The suspect is now under police custody. He will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Western Visayas’ top cop, Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, lauded the units involved in the operation.
“Let’s maintain the intensity of our campaign against these illegal drug peddlers and conduct in-depth investigation to determine if this suspect has cohorts in his illegal drug activity,” he added./PN
