P5,000 aid for Aklan 1st District TODA members rolls out today

AKLAN — The distribution of P5,000 presidential assistance to members of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA) in the First District of Aklan will begin today, April 16 and run until April 21, in response to the sector’s continuing challenges.

According to Aklan 1st District Rep. Papa Jess Marquez, the financial assistance aims to support tricycle drivers and operators who have been affected by rising costs and economic pressures.

In an announcement posted on his official Facebook account, Marquez outlined the schedule and venues for the aid distribution across several municipalities:

*April 16 — Kalibo TODA, Kalibo Pilot Elementary School, 8 a.m.

*April 17 — Banga TODA, Banga Teodosio Park, 8 a.m.

*April 17 — Madalag TODA, Poblacion Covered Court, 1 p.m.

*April 18 — Altavas TODA, 8 a.m. (venue to be announced)

*April 18 — Batan TODA, 10:30 a.m. (venue to be announced)

*April 18 — Balete TODA, 8 a.m. (venue to be announced)

*April 21 — New Washington TODA, 8:00 a.m. (venue to be announced)

An estimated 63,077 beneficiaries from the district are expected to receive the cash assistance.

Marquez reminded beneficiaries to attend on their assigned schedule and to bring the necessary documents to ensure the smooth release of aid./PN
