ILOILO City – Live-in partners were arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in Zone 3, Barangay Punong, Lapuz district around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19.
The 43-year-old Mark Anthony Martinez and 32-year-old Sarah Jane Española, both residents of the said barangay, were caught in their possession with 12.5 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P85,000.
Operatives of the La Paz Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Team recovered a total of seven sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item.
The suspects, facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), were detained at the custodial facility of La Paz Police Station./PN
