BACOLOD City – The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO-PDEU) seized an estimated P884,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Purok Paraiso, Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City on Monday morning.
The police also arrested two suspects – 49-year-old Jonalyn Bugalon, a resident of the barangay; and Juanito Artisano of Barangay Suay, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
Police Lieutenant Judesses Catalogo, NOCPPO spokesperson, said 13 sachets were recovered and one knot-tied bag of suspected shabu with a combined weight of 130 grams.
Bugalon was a “high value drug target” of the city police, said Catalogo.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 would be filed./PN
