P4-M ‘shabu’ seized in Bacolod drug bust

BACOLOD City – Operatives of Bacolod City Police Station 8 seized more than P4-million worth of suspected shabu from a freelance painter in a buy-bust operation on Aug. 14 at around 8: 19 p.m. in his house.

According to Police Major Joery Puerto, suspect Ahzer Villarosa, 36, was a resident Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay Pahanocoy here.

“Villarosa was arrested after he sold to the police poseur buyer one piece knot tied plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu in exchange for money amounting to P50,000,” Puerto said.

The suspect was placed undere surveillance for a month prior to the buy-bust.

“The subject was monitored by our operatives. His area of operation is Bacolod City and the south of Negros Occidental. He can dispose a total of 100 grams of shabu in a week,” added Puerto.

Recovered from the buy-bust were seven pieces knot tied plastic sachets containing of white crystalline substance of suspected shabu; buy-bust money and other non- drug items.

The seized illegal drugs have an estimated weight of more or less 635 grams with standard drug price of P4,318,000, police sid.
The suspect was detained at Bacolod City Police Station 8.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 would be filed against him./PN
