BACOLOD City – A police officer stationed at the Panaad Park in Barangay Mansilingan lost his service firearm and uniform cap, among other items.
Negros Occidental is currently holding the Panaad sa Negros Festival.
Police Officer 1 Nash Arellano reported to Police Station 7 that his .9mm Glock 17 (serial number 42733), uniform cap, rig belt, and face towel went missing on Thursday evening. He believed they were stolen.
After work, Arellano went to their billeting area at the second floor of the Escalante City pavilion around 10:25 p.m.
He hanged his bag beside the already sleeping Police Officer 1 Demetrio Brillantes and went back outside, a police report said.
When Arellano returned around 11 p.m., he found his belongings missing.
