ILOILO City – Pavia town’s new Negosyo Center officially opened on Oct. 12, with the opening ceremony attended by both local entrepreneurs and government officials including Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) secretary Ramon Lopez, DTI regional director Rebecca Rascon and Pavia Entrepreneurs Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PEMPC) chaiperson Joy D. Palmada.
The Negosyo Center is conceptualized as a “one-stop-shop for services that cater to the entrepreneurs’ need in processing requirements to establish a business, and in accessing information essential for their growth.”
It can also help business owners start new ventures by making the registration process easier, and by providing entrepreneurial advocacy services. Additionally, the facility also features special tools to business persons who require them, including a roaster machine, gas oven, steamer, bowl mixer, peanut butter grinder, and digital weighing scale, among others.
According to Lopez, the value of the Negosyo Center is that it offers advisory services to entrepreneurs on how to choose a business model, how to achieve sustainable growth, how to improve and develop their products and services and how to engage in marketing and product promotion.
Palmada, on her part, agreed with Lopez’s assertions. “Makabulig ni siya sa mga miyembro namon nga mga small, micro and medium entrepreneurs,” she said. “Because sa Negosyo Center, indi lang na sa produksyon, kundi sa technology kag sa marketing pa gid. Makabulig pa gid ang display center sa ila kung may bisita. May pasalubong center, so makadugang man na sa ila income … kag diri tudluan sila kung paano ma-develop, kung paano mapanami ang ila products.”/PN
