ILOILO City – Charged with rape, a 42-year-old resident of Barangay Lindero, Libertad, Antique was arrested and detained.
Jonel Ambay was accused of committing the crime sometime in 2002, a police report showed.
He was hauled to the Libertad police station custodial facility.
Police officers served him a warrant of arrest at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday in Barangay Centro Este.
Regional Trial Court Judge Sheila Martelino Cortes issued the warrant against the suspect but did not recommend a bail bond./PN
