BORACAY – Police have yet to identify the suspect in the fatal shooting of a sales agent in this island resort.
The Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) appealed to the public to reach out to them if they have any information on who could be behind the death of the 34-year-old Daniel Lagayada.
Lagayada, a resident of Roxas City, Capiz who was temporarily staying in Barangay Manoc-manoc, was shot to death at around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 18.
Investigators have yet to determine the motive in the shooting, too, as of this writing.
The BTAC encouraged anyone who can identify the suspect or have any information related to the shooting to contact the police unit at 288-3066 or 09075036235.
Lagayada was standing at a peryahan (fair) in Sitio Bulabog, Barangay Balabag when an unidentified man armed with a shotgun approached and fired at him, initial police investigation showed.
Bystanders scampered for safety upon hearing the gunshots, police said.
The victim, who was working for Prince World Marketing, died of gunshot wounds on the right side of the body.
A closed-circuit television camera captured a footage of the suspect fleeing the scene of the crime.
The suspect was also seen riding a motorcycle in tandem with a suspected accomplice after the shooting. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
