BACOLOD City – Police Station 1 officers were still looking for the suspect in stabbing a tricycle driver in Barangay 29.
Jeffrey Coronel was still at large as of this writing, police said.
The victim – 34-year-old Elmer Margario of Barangay Mansilingan – died of a stab wound on the chest, a police report showed.
Margario was with his live-in partner when attacked following a heated argument, police said.
Officers were unable to identify the bladed weapon used.
Margario was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital but the attending physician, Dr. Karen Joy Cruz, declared him “dead on arrival.”
The incident happened around 4 a.m. on Aug. 30.
Police recovered a cellphone, an improvised tooter with traces of suspected shabu and a key from the victim./PN
