ILOILO City – A police officer assigned at the Antique Public Safety Company and accused of homicide voluntarily surrendered to the police station in San Jose, Antique.
Senior Police Officer 4 Norland Esteves turned himself in to colleagues around 10:30 a.m. on Friday after learning that an arrest warrant had been issued against him by Judge Mario Andres of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 11.
He was, however, able to post the bail bond of P40,000 after several hours of detention.
According to the police, Esteves was willing to face the charge against him./PN
