CABATUAN, Iloilo – Palanguia National High School-Pototan emerged as champion in the girls volleyball tournament of the 3rd Iloilo Congressional District Association Meet 2019 here.

Behind the collective efforts of Amie Provido, Kyle Pendon, Jessa Orbita, Riza Mae Aleman, and Charisse Faith Oray, Pototan vanquished rivals from the municipality of Calinog in the championship match.

The 5-foot-9 Provido told Panay News she was motivated to help the team in her final year before she transfers to the De La Salle University in Taft, Manila for senior high school.

“I am happy to be able help the team kasi last year runner-up lang kami,” Provido said. “And since this is also my final year with them, determined ako na matulungan pa sila in the upcoming tournaments.”

For ruling the CDSA 3 Meet girls volleyball, the Pototan-based squad will advance to the Iloilo Integrated (Iloilo School Sports Council) Meet for a chance to move to the WVRAA Meet./PN
