BACOLOD City – The Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) turned over to the Negros Occidental provincial government P54,000 cash to be donated to the residents of the besieged Marawi City.
Superintendent Vimellee Madrid, PPSC regional director, met with Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. at the provincial capitol yesterday.
Police trainees, students, personnel, and staffers contributed to come up with the amount.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office will facilitate the turnover of the donation to Marawi City.
Marañon thanked the donors and assured them that the donation will reach the beneficiaries.
The provincial government continues to accept donations, in cash or in kind, for Marawi, the governor said. (Negros Occidental PIO/PN)
