
ILOILO City – Shabu and marijuana with a combined value of P109 million were seized from across Western Visayas in five months (January to May 2022), data from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).
Also, 815 drug personalities were arrested, according to PRO-6 spokesperson, Police Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis.
Yesterday the San Carlos City police in Negros Occidental – together with PRO-6’s Regional Intelligence Division, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office – Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized two kilos of shabu worth P13.6 million in a buy-bust operation.
The authorities also arrested a 49-year-old Rex Baron of Fatima Village, Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental in a drug operation at Sitio Tul-ang, Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City.
Baron was arrested at 4:48 a.m. after selling to a police poseur-buyer a sachet of suspected shabu worth P6,600.
