‘Pusher’ falls in Roxas drug bust

ROXAS City – He allegedly sold shabu.

Thirty-eight-year-old Julius Andama was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Lawaan, Pueblo de Panay.

Recovered from Andama’s possession were 8 sachets of suspected shabu, suspected dried marijuana leaves, a cellphone and P1,000 marked money, police said.

According to Police Lieutenant Tobias Garfin of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Andama was former drug convict and a beneficiary of the government’s plea bargaining agreement.

He was caught after he sold suspected illegal drugs to an undercover officer around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, said Garfin

“We placed him under surveillance for almost 3 weeks. We learned he is back into selling illegal drugs again,” he added.

Andama, meanwhile, denied that he is still into illegal drug trading but admitted he uses illegal substance for at least 3 times a week.

Ginakuha ko ang supply sa Pavia Street sa Barangay 9,” Andama said.

He was detained in the lockup facility of the Roxas City police station, facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
