ILOILO City – Facing child abuse and rape charges, a man was arrested in Barangay Balabag, Santa Barbara, Iloilo yesterday.
Police caught Kenneth Legaste, 46, a resident of Barangay Tubungan, Lambunao, Iloilo, around 5:40 p.m.
Judge Gemalyn Faunillo Tarol of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo ordered the suspect’s arrest.
Legate, detained at the Santa Barbara police station, was accused of sexually abusing a minor in September 2019.
The girl got pregnant on April 2020, police said.
The court approved an P80,000 bail bond for Legaste’s child abuse case.
His rape case has no bail./PN
