BACOLOD City – An early evening crime here is puzzling policemen.
Bursts of gunfire were heard at the Reclamation Port, Barangay 2 on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m.
Policemen checked out the area and discovered two dead men with multiple gunshot wounds in a car.
A toddler, a girl between two to three years old, was also in the car but unharmed.
The two men were later identified as Dexter Bryan Ursos, 41, of Barangay 4 and Fernando Mahipos, 39, of Barangay 14.
The police later found out that Mahipos was the toddler’s father.
Recovered from the crime scene were several spent bullet shells, a sachet of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and identification cards, among others.
Who killed the two men?
Initial police investigation showed there were no signs of robbery. The men’s valuables were intact.
What was the toddler doing in the car?
From what the police gathered so far, Mahipos was supposed to go to a money remittance center to get the money that his Manila-based wife sent.
