Region 6’s No. 4 most wanted man nabbed in Anilao

ILOILO – A high-ranking fugitive for murder was apprehended by joint police operatives in Barangay Sta. Rita, Anilao, Iloilo.

Police identified the suspect as alias “Andoy,” 47, single, a farmer, and a resident of Anilao. Authorities classified him as the No. 4 most wanted person at the regional level in Western Visayas.

The operation carried out on Tuesday morning, Oct. 6, was spearheaded by intelligence operatives of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6’s (RMFB-6) Technical Support Company, in coordination with the RMFB-6’s Battalion Headquarters, Anilao Municipal Police Station (MPS), Regional Intelligence Unit-Counter Intelligence Team, and the 22nd Special Action Company, 2nd Special Action Battalion, PNP-Special Action Force.

Operating units served a warrant of arrest for murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code, issued on July 21, 2026 by presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 71 in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo. No bail was recommended for the suspect’s temporary liberty.

Following his arrest around 11 a.m., the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and turned over to the Anilao MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

Police Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño, director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), commended the operating units for the successful manhunt operation.

“Ang bawat matagumpay na pag-aresto sa isang wanted person ay hakbang tungo sa pagbibigay ng hustisya sa mga biktima at sa pagpapanagot sa mga may pananagutan sa batas. Patuloy nating tutugisin ang mga akusadong nagtatago upang maiharap sila sa hukuman at harapin ang kanilang mga kaso,” Tuaño said./PN
