ILOILO City – In Barangay Santiago, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, a drunken man shot his father.
The 43-year-old Alberto Mendoza was taken to the municipal police station.
His father Roberto, 65, was hit on the upper body. He was confined in the Barotac Viejo District Hospital.
Roberto was in their house when a drunken Alberto arrived, a police report showed.
A heated argument ensued between them after Roberto scolded the married Alberto for allegedly having an affair. Alberto got irked and fired at his father using an improvised gun, police said.
Alberto was detained after his arrest around 8 p.m. on Monday./PN
