BACOLOD City – The Task Force Kasanag (TFK) urged government enforcement units to “respect the law.”

TFK national commander John Chiong met with Iloilo governor Arthur Defensor on Aug. 31.

In an interview with Chiong yesterday at the TFK office in Barangay Alijis, he said one of the things he discussed with Defensor was the assignment of Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido as officer-in-charge of the Iloilo City Police Office.

Chiong believed that Espinido is “sincere in doing his job” but said, “I am asking government enforcement units to respect and not abuse the law.”

Espinido was assigned in Iloilo upon the instruction of President Rodrigo Duterte.
