BACOLOD City – He had been hiding from the police for about 18 years.
The 42-year-old Joemarie Alintoson was arrested in Barangay Zone 2, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental for the crime of robbery, police said.
Alintoson – resident of the village – was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 10:20 a.m. on July 25, the police added.
Police officers served the warrant issued by retired Judge Renato Muñez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 60 in Cadiz City dated Dec. 23, 2002.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Cadiz City police station.
The court recommended a P40,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
