Bicol governor plan
ROBIN Padilla made a huge revelation during his interview on the YouTube vlog of his wife, Mariel Padilla.
During the episode, Robin shared that he seriously considered running for governor of Bicol in the 2022 elections.
According to the action star, he even registered himself in Bicol because of his political plan.
However, he backed out from his plan when he learned that he needed to spend at least P150 million to campaign for the position.
“Kinonsider ko ‘yan. Nagpa-rehistro pa nga ako sa Bicol. Akala ko 10 to 20 million pesos (para sa campaign). Sabi sa akin, P150 million for local government, for governor. ‘Yun pa raw ‘yung pinaka-maliit,” Robin said.
Mariel even commented that Robin might get forced to be a corrupt official because of how much he needed to spend to get elected.
For these reasons, Robin has vowed to never enter politics.
