
ROXAS City – The city government is reserving its limited supply of Pfizer’s vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to 110 qualified overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and seafarers.
Why for OFWs only?
“May mga pungsod nga wala nagapasulod sang foreign workers kon indi Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Moderna ang ila bakuna,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
The vaccines would be administered on a first come, first served basis.
Registration was held yesterday at city hall.
“Ang required sa amon kumpaniya Pfizer,” said seafarer Mark Ladrillo.
He welcomed Dadivas’ announcement.
“Daku ini nga bulig sa amon nga mga seafarers,” said Ladrillo.
A total of 125 doses of Pfizer were allotted by the Department of Health to Roxas City.
The remaining 15 doses will be administered to organ transplant patients.
Dadivas urged city residents to have themselves vaccinated against COVID-19, whatever the vaccine brand.
“Tanan nga bakuna safe kag epektibo nga makaluwas sa aton sa kamatayon,” said Dadivas./PN
