Roxas City has new top cop

ROXAS City – Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Jomuad Jr. is the new police director of this city.  A turnover ceremony was held on Friday morning in the Roxas City police station.

Jomuad is succeeding Lieutenant Colonel Dante Tayco who is set to undergo schooling.

The turnover of command was witnessed by Mayor Ronnie Dadivas and Capiz Police Provincial Office director Superintendent Canilo Fuentes.

“We will just continue what my predecessor has started. We will continue our campaign against all forms of illegal activity,” Jomuad told Panay News.

The city’s new top cop is a native of Sta. Barbara, Iloilo. His father is also a soldier.

Prior to his Roxas City assignment, Jomuad is a member of the Special Action Force assigned in Sulu, Basilan and Zamboanga. He wase asHe w recently assigned in the Capiz Police Provincial Office.

Tayco, for his part, thanked the people of this city for the support extended to him during his 2-year stint as police chief./PN
