ROXAS City – This city is opening its 72nd Foundation Anniversary celebrations today, May 12.
Republic Act No. 603 and Presidential Executive Order No. 488 declared May 12, 1951 as the date of the organization of the government of Roxas City.
Due to road closures and anticipated traffic congestion that may be caused by the programs and activities, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas issued an executive order suspending work in the city government and classes at all levels, both public and private, today.
Meanwhile, the suspension of work in national government offices and private companies holding offices in the city is left to the discretion of their management and/or heads of offices.
The Kaadlawan sang Roxas will be a two-day event with several lined-up events and activities.
The first day will start with a Thanksgiving Mass at 8:30 a.m. to be followed by the opening program, Parada sa Kaadlawan (Pasundayag sang mga Barangay kag Paindis-indis sang mga Lin-ay), PBA Legends vs Capiz Selection (basketball game), Kaadlawan Rap showdown, Kaadlawan Cultural show, fireworks display and Kaadlawan Blowout with Al James
On Saturday, the activities include Kaadlawan Blowout with Sushband, ADHD2, Leandro Zayco and Patiqueros, and Ely Buendia. The festivities will wrap up at 8 p.m. with a fireworks display./PN
