ILOILO City – Police have been searching for him for eight years.
They finally caught the 53-year-old Jerry Bangonon at around 9 p.m. on Friday in Barangay MV Hechanova, Leganes, Iloilo.
Bangonon, a resident of Barangay San Jose, San Miguel town, was charged with estafa, a police report showed.
Officers from San Miguel and Leganes served him a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Ma. Yolanda Panaguiton-Gavino before detaining him at the San Miguel police station.
Judge Gavino set the bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty at P20,000, the police report stated./PN
