ILOILO City – Santa Clarita International School Primes and Living Stones International School-Bacolod emerged as champions of the recently concluded Gametime 17-Under Volleyball Tournament held here recently.
The Primes claimed the girls’ division title, defeating NVC-Aklan in the championship match. Iloilo City National High School placed third, while Buenavista National High School-Guimaras finished fourth.
Primes standout Ryza Sespeñe was named Finals MVP, with teammates Roze Simora earning Best Open Hitter and Jiuliane Castañeda awarded Best Setter.
From NVC-Aklan, Quinnee Villorente secured Best Opposite Spiker honors, while Ashley Villorente was recognized as Best Middle Blocker.
In the boys’ division, Living Stones-Bacolod reigned supreme, defeating Buenavista-Guimaras for the crown. Iloilo Central Academy (ICA) took third place, and NVC-Aklan finished fourth.
Living Stones’ Chad Patrimonio captured both Finals MVP and Best Spiker honors, while teammates Marl Serad and Edward Penetrante took home Best Setter and Best Opposite Spiker awards, respectively.
Buenavista’s Mark Hervias, meanwhile, was named Best Middle Blocker, and ICA’s Yuan Zyron Albay earned Best Libero honors.
The three-day competition featured 29 teams—12 in the girls’ division and 17 in the boys’—with matches held at Imperial 3 Subdivision Uswag Gym in Mandurriao for the girls and Buntatala Gym for the boys.
Gametime Sports founder Rodolfo Go Villaruz and tournament director Dax Llige spearheaded the event, which gathered top young volleyball talents from Iloilo, Guimaras, Aklan, Capiz, and Bacolod.
