ILOILO City – Police took in custody a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Sapian, Capiz wanted for murder.
The 31-year-old Jerwin Telesforo was arrested in Barangay Culasi, Roxas City, a police report showed.
Telesforo has been charged with “murder in relation to the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act of 2004.”
Officers from the police stations in Sapian town and Roxas City served him a warrant of arrest at around 4:45 p.m. on March 1.
Acting Presiding Judge Esperanza Isabel E. Poco-Deslate of the Regional Trial Court Branch 14 (Roxas City) issued the warrant on Feb. 12.
Telesforo was taken in custody by the Roxas City police. No bail bond has been set for his temporary liberty./PN
