BACOLOD City – A 14-year-old boy was shot. He and a minor companion allegedly stole scrap materials at East Homes Subdivision, Barangay Mansilingan at around 10:30 a.m. on March 20.
Security Guard Mark Gil John Capanas, 30, of the subdivision told the police he merely fired a warning shot with his 12-gauge shotgun.
The wounded 14-year-old boy was a resident of Barangay Handumanan. He was taken to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
The security guard surrendered to Police Station 7 and also turned over to the police his firearm./PN
