CEBU City – Personal grudge was believed to have triggered the killing of two seafaring brothers along F. Llamas Street in Barangay Punta Princesa.
Senior Police Officer 1 Winston Ybañez identified the fatalities as Nick Vincent Ong, 25, and Neil Bryan, 28, both seamen.
The investigation that the homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office conducted showed that Nick Vincent’s live-in partner is a married woman in Barangay Mambaling.
The brothers, who just got off their ship for their annual furlough, are residents of Barangay Talamban.
Initial investigation showed the brothers were drinking with some friends at the Sportster Cafe while the gunman was in another table drinking beer around midnight on Saturday.
The assailant approached the victims’ table and fired two shots at Nick Vincent.
Neil Bryan chased after the gunman but was also shot twice.
Both victims died on the spot.
Police have yet to identify the gunman. (PNA/PN)
