EXPANDING its lifestyle and leisure brand in the region, AyalaLand Hotels and Resorts Corp. conquers the City of Smiles with its newest hotel: Seda Capitol Central.
The 154-room property ushers in a new chapter in the Capitol’s history – offering a seamless hotel experience right at the heart of pulsating lifestyle and tourism destination, Bacolod City.
With facilities that cater to the modern lifestyle, Seda Capitol Central offers a combination of business and leisure amenities, technological conveniences, and a unique brand of service at par with global standards.
Seda’s second hotel in the Visayas offers 137 deluxe rooms, 16 studio-style premier rooms, and a Suite – all equipped with modern amenities to push the guests’ leisure experience to the next level. These include:

- Media panel with HDMI, USB and audio-visual connectivity
- IDD phone with iPod dock, alarm clock and FM radio
- Complimentary WiFi and internet access

Indulge in pampered comfort at one of SEDA Capitol Central’s lavish guest rooms: Deluxe Rooms, equipped with modern amenities in a cozy 25 sq. m. area; or stylish Premier Rooms, boasting a studio-inspired layout and a larger 35 sq. m area. Premier Rooms include a comfy living area where guests can lounge, coast and rest while enjoying the hotel’s many in-room amenities.
For an unparalleled SEDA Capitol Central experience, one can book the establishment’s sole Suite – a 90 sq. m. haven of ease and luxury, outfitted with its own kitchenette and two bathrooms. It also includes an extravagant bathtub while also boasting of penthouse views of Bacolod City.
Hotel manager Rhett Villaruz says Seda will offer the region a taste of Filipino hospitality in keeping with global standards. Like most Seda hotels, close to 95 percent of the staff are local hires who, with rigorous training, are likely to become seasoned hoteliers.
“We train them to give guests a smooth and seamless experience by being pro-active in serving clients. Fortunately, delighting guests is innate to most Filipinos,” according to Villaruz.
Villaruz himself is a seasoned hotelier with stints at international chains that have properties in Cebu, Jeddah and Dubai. As hotel manager, he is responsible for the strategic direction of the property as well as day-to-day operations.
He is excited to talk about Misto, the brand’s signature all-day dining restaurant, offering a medley of international and local dishes. He also mentions that guests will enjoy a doing a few laps or just lazing by the pool, or a good work-out at the gym.
For meetings, banquets, and other events, Seda Capitol Central has three function rooms at the roof deck conducive for small group discussions. Three more multi-purpose event spaces on the ground level can serve groups of up to 80 people, but can be merged into one big venue to accommodate 250 guests for a banquet-style affair, and as many as 390 people for cocktails and simple social events.
Soon to open is Straight Up, the first and only premier roof deck bar in the area. The bar will have indoor and outdoor seating, the latter offering striking views of the expanding cityscape.
Seda Capitol Central is located within the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol complex. The Capitol Central estate is being developed into a new urban center serving rapidly growing Negros Occidental and will highlight a regional mall to be completed by 2018.
The mall will offer guests a wide array of retail and shopping options a few steps away from Seda. Upon full development, the community will also include offices and residential buildings that will contribute to the vibrancy and energy of site.
