‘Shabu peddler’ busted in Boracay

BORACAY – A suspected drug peddler operating in this world-famous island was arrested.

The 28-year-old Mark Andrew Panganiban yielded five sachets of suspected shabu, police said.

Panganiban was nabbed after he allegedly sold illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P1,600, the police added.

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Aklan, Provincial Mobile Force Company, Malay police station and 605th Maritime Police staged the entrapment operation that led to the arrest of Panganiban around 12:10 a.m. on Nov. 4.

Aside from suspected shabu, a cellphone and drug paraphernalia were also seized.

Panganiban was detained in the lockup cell of the Malay police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (With a report from Akean Forum/PN)
