ROXAS City – Another barangay official was arrested for alleged illegal drug pushing.
Kagawad Mark Bialen, 31, of Barangay Bago Chiquito, Panay, Capiz was caught selling a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer for P200 around 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.
Operatives from the Municipal Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (MAIDSOTG), Provincial AIDSOTG teams Delta and Echo, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Capiz nabbed Bialen.
The kagawad was a “high-value” antidrug operation target, they said.
Three more plastic packs of suspected shabu, a cell phone and a motorcycle were recovered from him.
Bialen was facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
He was detained in the Panay police station lockup cell./PN
