SAN JOSE, Antique – More than 600 indigenous people (IP) in Valderrama town benefitted from the Cash for Work program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
They worked on communal gardens in barangays Manlacbo, Buluangan 1, Pandanan, and Borocboroc; refurbished Lublub Elementary School’s pathway and leveled school grounds; and repaired and developed a foot trail from Lublub to San Agustin.
The beneficiaries themselves identified the work.
For their salaries, the DSWD released a total of P1.37 million based on the minimum daily wage in the province.
Jeffrey Gabucay, provincial link for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, said the program was carried out in December 2016. (PNA)
