ILOILO City – Police arrested a resident of Barangay Baybay, Pandan, Antique in possession of an unlicensed 12-gauge shotgun.
The 51-year-old Edgardo Dioso was detained at the municipal police station’s custodial facility.
An unidentified neighbor called the police after Dioso allegedly discharged his homemade gun indiscriminately on Sunday, a police report showed.
Officers accosted Dioso at around 12:55 p.m. and seized the firearm. Dioso was unable to show documents proving his legal ownership of the weapon.
The suspect was facing a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
