BACOLOD City – Operatives of the Sipalay City Police Station arrested the No. 2 most wanted person at the city level during a manhunt operation in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
The suspect, a 48-year-old male officer at the Sipalay City Water District, was apprehended at around 7:44 p.m. on May 21 in Purok 3, Barangay 3, Sipalay City.
The operation was carried out by the Tracker Team of the Sipalay City Police Station under the supervision of Police Lt. Col. Jesus B. Mesahon Jr.
Police said the suspect was arrested by virtue of warrants issued for two counts of rape and one count of rape by sexual assault.
The charges were docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 26-0892 and 26-0893 for rape, both without recommended bail, and Criminal Case No. 26-0891 for rape by sexual assault, with a recommended bail of P120,000.
The warrants were issued on May 21, 2026 by Judge Edwin Balanday Gomez of Regional Trial Court Branch 77, Sixth Judicial Region in Sipalay City.
The accused was taken into custody by the Sipalay City Police Station pending proper legal disposition./PN
