ILOILO City – Pains on various parts of the body were what a resident of Sitio Ilaya, Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district incurred when six men attacked him.

Melfred Hilado, 22, was referred to the West Visayas State University Medical Center, also in Jaro, a police report showed.

Hilado told the police that he was walking in their village around 7:15 p.m. on May 29 when he chanced upon the six men.

The victim claimed that he did not know them.

The suspects suddenly choked Hilado and punched him several times, police said.

According to the police, the attack stopped when Hilado’s relatives Jebby and Jumarey, both 19 years old, arrived, and the suspects fled when barangay tanods approached.

Hilado sustained wounds on his upper lip and complained of pains on the right eye and various other parts of the body.

Police have yet to identify the suspects as of this writing./PN
