MANILA – College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers continued its hot start in the NCAA Season 95 Women’s Volleyball after a 25-20, 25-21, 25-17 sweep over Emilio Aguinaldo College Lady Generals on Jan.23 at the San Juan Arena.

Klarisa Abriam broke her personal slump with 16 points, Michelle Gamit added 11 markers, while Marites Pablo and Gayle Pascual chimed in seven points each for the Lady Blazers’ fourth straight victory.

Despite Abriam’s best game of the season, the Lady Blazer’s offense were still well spread out, as nine players inserted by head coach Jerry Yee contributed at least a point.

Meanwhile, the defending champion Arellano University Lady Chiefs preserved its immaculate record with a straight-set conquest of Jose Rizal University Lady Bombers, 25-19, 25-16, 25-17.

Regine Arocha continued to spearhead the Lady Chiefs’ artillery with 12 points and 15 excellent digs, while Carla Donato and Princess Belo added 10 and eight markers, respectively, for the now 3-0 Arellano.

Mikaela Juanich contributed three blocks to finish with six markers, while Necole Ebuen, who has been slowly regaining her bearings, also chimed in six markers for the victors./PN
